And then there were 3!

We are very excited to be expecting baby number three!!! I'm due in March and an thankfully over being sick and feeling great! I tried to hide it for a long time, but just recently be belly went pop and I decided to tell everyone! I don't get to find out if it's a girl or a boy for 6 more weeks, but we are going to be really happy for either one. I am also very lucky to have already found a triple jogger so I can keep excersizing, I know I am going to get a lot of really fun looks back here to have 3 kids that little, but I think it will be fun. Laurie just had her birthday, she had an Ariel cake and a fish pinata. I will get pictures soon. She had started Joy School which I do on Mondays and Weds. for a couple hours. We have 2 others in our group and we have a lot of fun. Jack is a character during joy school and first day he just cried, but now he is starting to get the hang of it. He also went to Nursery by himself last week. I didn't know what to do with myself. I will only be able to enjoy freedom for a little time though. He is saying so much, but he is really hard to understand. He has to repeat it 10 times before I can figure it out. Jeff has been really busy with school. He is starting to see patients almost every day and still has a lot of studying and lab work to do. He is usually late a couple night a week so me and my friend Melissa who's husband is also in school hang out and make dinner at each others houses. This has made the time go by a lot quicker and our kids play really well (most of the time) I hope to get some pictures up soon

Yesterday I babysat 3 extras for 10 hours! I got a little extra money though and we are going to to FAIR!! Jeff's been really busy this week. He had some late night this week. I am so excited to have labor day this week.

Fun Date!

me and Jeff got to go on a very fun date tonight. We went mountain biking on a river trail. The first part was really easy and fun, then we crossed the river and it got tough. It was just the perfect amount of tough--scary, but do able. We did have to get off a few times and walk, but it was fun. It took us about an hour and half then we went to dinner at Chipotles and finally got some ice cream. It was soooo fun. Crazy how a night without kids can rejuvenate one. We forgot the camera, but definately next time it was beautiful, but my butt is so stiff!

Some not so recent, but new pictures

Only 5 more days and will be in Utah! We can't wait. It will be nice for Jeff to get a break from studying 24-7 and the kids will have so much fun with all their cousins. Tomorrow I'm taking Jack and Laurie to Inflation Nation, its a jumping sliding blow up place and hopefully it will be really fun. Jeff and I get a date night on Friday, any ideas of fun cheap things we can do???

MORE SICKNESS!!

Well I thought my kids were getting better, but it was all in my head. I think I just wanted them to get better so I made it up. I finally took them both to the dr. Laurie has a UTI and an ear infection and Jack has both ears infected. I am sure glad I didn't wait any longer to take them in. I swear knowing when or when not to take your kids to the dr. is just about the hardest thing to decide. I got to babysit a 2 week old today, he was sooooooo sweet! It made Jack seem huge. I decided the best way for me to stay in shape is to run my 3 miles and more importantly chase my kids around. If you really are active with your kids I think there is no way you could be fat or gain weight, they just require too much energy.

sick sick sick sick

I hate when my kids are sick. They have had fevers, coughs, and lots of snotting noses. We had to stay inside all week! Plus Laurie had to get a cavity filled and it was horrible. I think that watching your kids go through pain is much worse than going through it yourself. I made a committment to be a lot better and brushing and flossing my kids' teeth, since they have teeth like mine (poopy) We are so so excited to go to Utah especially after such a boring week here in Virginia. WHEW! My lesson is over!

I don't think I could ever be a relief society teacher, I stress out everytime I have to teach. Luckily, its usually only 2-3 times. My lesson went okay, last time it was bad so I guess I'm getting better. I am so excited for the Olympics, I love to watch all the running. I always get chills when I watch the races. We are all getting over colds here, I don't like summer colds, but atleast they don't seem to last as long. I ran 40 laps around the track on Saturday. Crazy huh! I don't think I'm going to do that again. I am excited for my half marathon on Aug 23rd my goal is to run it 1:50! But it is going to be extremely hot, so maybe I'll have to slow down. Read any good books lately?

Celebrations

I love to celebrate, or maybe I just love having Jeff have time off! He should be studying, but you can't study all the time. We had our own little bike parade, I will have to popst some pictures if I get my friend to give me them, Jeff had the camera. I will finish the Easter pictures since it wouldn't let me last time. Nursery was a breeze, I hope I get released and called there, but then again I was only in there one week. I do have to teach next sunday and I would much rather be in Nursery.

Pictures from EASTER

Well I am just a little behind so here are some pictures of when mom and dad and Jessie and Cherice came to visit us. We of course had a terrific time and wish that they could come again soon. We are excited to be visiting you all in less than a month. Good luck on your races this week and next week. I think I might run on the 4th of July, but we will see.

2 down

I had my food storage class yesterday which was for the most part a success. Except for one thing. See I had planned on being there early, but I had to return twice to get stuff I had forgotten so I just got there right on time, but I still had to set up and everything. I didn't think it was a big deal because everybody was just getting there and getting there kids out and settled. However, at precisely 10:06 one of the ladies walked out and as she left she told somebody, not me, that she hated when things didn't start on time. I thought it was so mean and I felt really bad. I guess I should have been better prepared. I am over it now though, I had my sulking day and now I've got better things to do. My friend, Melissa, is finally having her baby! And I think shes really glad she stuck it out because she came on her own!! She hasn't had the baby yet, but she is definately in labor. I get to watch her son the whole time, so I should have him over tonight. He is barely 2, and he is a really good kid. not much maintenance at all. Well talk to ya'll soon

1 down 4 to go

I have had a lot of church assignment lately and some of them are hard. Like speaking in sacrament today. I thought it went okay--it was on the 2nd coming so if you ever need info. I have a ton. Next, I have a Food Storage class about Making Soups with Food Storage Ingredients. It is on Weds. and I have been vigorously making soup, but last night Shalee helped me make a terrific one, then the people I had over ate way too much and now its all gone and I needed some for my class. bummer. Then I have to be in charge of Nursery. With Jack going in in 1 month I'm so excited. Then I have to teach relief society on July 6th. And Lastly I have book club at my house on July 9. for book club I let Jessie talk me into a book called the Uglies by Scot Westerfeld she promised it was good, but I didn't have a chance to read it and I had to pick the book so we will see if it is good. I am not complaining, I actually reallly like being busy. I enjoy most of it except being in front of people. Well talk to ya later

Happy Birthday to ME!

I had a wonderful birthday week. Me and Jeff we have the whole week as our birthday since it's to hard to cram in all the fun things we like to do in one day. We go out one day and fix a fun dinner one day get breakfast one day go on a date one day have cake one day so I have had so much fun. I got some new shorts and a new skirt. My friends made my yummy breakfast on my birthday. I ate at Olive Garden my favorite. My friends take really good care of me! I did gain a ton of weight though since I've been so lazy and eating so much. I rean 8 and a half miles today so hopefully that undoes some of the damage. I just found out my friends Linda is pregnant she and Davis are having there first kid. Can you think about what life was like without kids?? I must have been too long for me because I truly can't remember. Life is certainly more fun and full of pleasant surprizes with kids.

Finally Got the Slideshow of Jack's Birthday!!

I finally figured out how to put a slideshow on my blog, but please don't ask me to repeat the process because it took forever!!! I ran 7 miles today, it was fun, but the heat was aweful! I am getting more adjusted to running in the heat. I have to teach a relief society lesson on the first sunday in July and can pick my topic, can you guys think of any lesson you've had that has been really good??? We had a fun Saturday today, we went to Michaels and made free crafts then we bought a pool and slipinslide at Walmart, we decided to do that instead of a pool pass because it will save us a ton of money. Then we played outside and we did the slipinslide it has two sides to it so you can race and Jeff beat me all three times we races. Jack and Laurie didn't really understand how to do it, but they were slipping all over so it was fun. Love

Can't Beat the HEAT!!

Tomorrow is supposed to be 100 and Sunday 104. It's too hot to run, to go outside. I like warm weather, but we are barely in June and it's sizzling. Jack is starting to say lots of words it's fun to see him get big. Laurie is a character, she has learned the art of conieving (me and Jeff are argueing how to spell that word!!!) She tries to talk her way into and out of everything and she always uses the sweetest faces and voice, but she is generally a good girl. me and Jeff went to see IRON MAN it was a great movie. It is fun to go on dates.. Do you guys usually make it out on dates?? How often??

Long time!

Well it has been a long time since I have written and so much has happened!!! Jeff has had three weeks off and now he is back to work at school. He is seeing his first patients what fun! We had Jessie, Heidi Krebs, and Jo Gullo here for a week. We played hard and had lots of fun. I didn't know teenagers slept so much!!! I got to go to D.C. over night and all day on memorial day without my kids!! It was my first night away and I enjoyed it. I missed them though especially because as I was leaving Jack was waving at me with those puppy dog eyes like where are you going and when are you coming back, but they survived and Jeff was even like " I don't get what you complain about (which I don't do very often) about staying home with the kids. I was so much fun, course they played the entire time!!! Laurie cried for 10 minutes on the way home from the airport. "I miss my Jessie" "Where is my Jessie" I was so cute. Jessie is going to make a terrific mom as long as she learn to cook. I got tickets to visit Utah July 22-Aug 7 yipee!!! Can't wait to see everyone and let our three 1 year olds play together.

It stinks when the ones you love are hurt!!

Jeff hurt his back this week. It has been an extremely long week. He hurt it on monday night while playing softball. And spent the next 3 days in bed!! He couldn't walk at all on Tues. I had to carry him to the Dr.'s it was a little embarrassing, but luckily he is feeling much better today (Friday) and the speciallist diagnosed him with a tear in his disc, because his right leg is a cm shorter than his left leg. At least its semi easy to fix just wear a pad in his right shoe. I don't mean to ramble, it has just been a long week. The funny thing is that when he's at school I'm fine, but when he's at home in pain and not able to do anything it kills me. I know Shalee had to go through the same thing recently because Brigham was sick for a long time almost a week. I have a lot more empathy for her. Jeff is now starting a 3 week break so we are soooo excited.

Caterpillars

We have decided to take two borders into our home. Lucy and Willow. They are Caterpillars. Laurie absolutely loves them. Jack squishes them, so we don't let him hold them. We get new leaves for them everyday and Lucy has been alive for almost two weeks. We are hoping they both change into butterflies soon. This is probably the closest we will get to having a pet. I am running a 10K on June 1st.

Rain Rain go away come again another day!

We are sick of wet weather, even though we really haven't had that much. We want the sun shine back. It does make the yard look nice though. We had a fun family home evening tonight. We made chef hats (white paper in a circle, then tape a grocery bag to the inside) then we made faith cookies. Each ingredient we put in Laurie had to tell us something she could do to increase her faith. Then we put our faith to the test and cooked them in the oven. Laurie really got a kick out of it. Do you have any fun family hom evening ideas to do with little kids???

Ode to Cherice

Cherice Cherice not my niece
But my sister
She is kind and a little sinister
She runs very fast
And has never been last
She kisses the boys
And kills them with poise
She is best at the wii
I wish I could see
Her soon
Good night moon
Good night stars
This is your sister from Mars

I love Cherice!!!!!

I HATE CLEANING UP YUCKY STUFF!

Well on Weds of this week. Jack awoke at 1:00 in the morning and proceded to throw up 4 times all over his bed, his bumber, his crib, him, me, my clothes, my bed, my covers, and the floor. The next morning I spent about 1 hour cleaning and still have some blankets to wash. Then Thurs. I was cooking some dried beans and trusted my dad that I could put two bags in my crockpot. Have you ever had burned black bean on your CEILING?? Well it wasn't quite that bad, but it was all over the floor, the counter, the walls, and inside the metal pan in the crock pot . Again it took me about an hour to clean it up. Next time I just buy canned beans right??? So I for sure thought I was done cleaning, then Jack awoke this morning will a diaper from heck and it was all in his hair and all over his bed and stuffed animals, and everything. So I guess this is just part of the deal, but I do think I have served my sentence for atleast a while don't ya think??? All in good spirits though. I read a pretty good book called the PEACEGIVER by James Ferrell I recommend it to everyone. It takes a little concentration, but I enjoyed it.

Wow!! Time is flying by!! It amazing how fast it flies when your having fun!! Jack and Laurie keep my days really fun. They are always doing things that make me laugh. Tonight Jack was spinning in circles and falling down and Laurie was helping me with our Garden and she got some of last years peas (I gave them to her to keep her busy) then next thing I know she was walking all over poking her finger in the ground and putting a seed in then covering it up. I am going to have peas everywhere. I am really sad that my watermelons and catalopes dies especially because I just bought them, but I was too early so in a few weeks I will try again. Everything else is looking good. I love gardening!!! Tomorrow I have a basketball game. Wish me luck!

Left in the Dust

Well all my friends are officially pregnant!! I have nobody left to run with??? Bummer!! I was thinking maybe I should just hurry up and get pregnant and I wouldn't be too far behind, then I thought--wait I would have 3 then I would be stuck--unless I could find a 3 kid jogger. Being able to run is my sanity! I guess I could get my bum out of bed before Jeff left. Anyway hopefully none of my friends figure out my blogger address because some of their pregnancy are supposed to be surprizes. But I think my family is the only ones who know unless they stumbled upon it.

Monday, Monday

Having Jeff in school I really learn to hate mondays!!! It means daddy has to leave us again, its been nice though because the last two weekends Jeff has had Friday off too!! But now is crunch time for dental school. He only has one month left then he will have 3 weeks off! Then he goes for 6 weeks and has 5 weeks off. Conference was very unlifting. I especially liked the talk by Elder Ballard, it gave me motivation and hope!! Tomorrow we are having a gardening class. It should be fun.

April 4, 2008

Sorry I haven't written lately. I have been busy or atleast it seems so. Today me Laurie and Jack went to the park and went for a hike, we found a turtle and we brought it home, but then Jeff told me it was bad so we had to go take him back. It was fun to have a pet for a little while and Laurie loved him! It was a good thing we put him back though because he probably would have died anyway. My garden is looking really good. Everything is up!!! I just hope the 6 foot fence my dad built around it can keep those crazy deer out! If not I am going to have a freezer full of deer meat. Jeff's birthday is SUNDAY, he will be 29. That sounds old, but 30 sounds worse so I am letting him off the hook this year. I am excited to listen to conference. Hopefully my kids behave. It stinks because here I either have to listen on my computer or go to the church. Congrats to Jessie (qualified for state in the mile with a 5:16 and the 800 with a 2:20) and Cherice who ran an awesome P.R. in the 2 mile (12:17) I miss running track!! Tomorrow I am going to the track to run, maybe that will fill my need to be competing again. I really never thought I'd miss it, but when I here how exciting the track meets are I wish I could be there. Maybe not to compete, maybe I'd be okay if I just watched! WEll I think I am rambling now so I will sign out

I love Spring!!

Today it was 80 degrees! I went running and it was hot! We went and picked up some flowers and some vegetables to plant in our new deer proof garden! (Thanks to DAD) I have planted radishes, spinach, lettuce, and peas. I have ready to plant tomatoes, watermelon, peppers, strawberries, and cataloupe. YUMMY!! Are you guys going to plant gardens!!! It is fun, I wish I could plant enough of something to can or something. I have also started using the wheat that I have in my food storage. We are trying to be more healthy. Got any good recipes for wheat and healthy stuff.

Laurie is being a pill today. She refused to take and nap and with all the commotion last night, I could have used one. Everytime Jeff leaves for the night my kids somehow decide they can throw-up all over me! Shalee what training program are you using to run your marathon again? Jayni are you running?? I would love to find a marathon around here, I don't think I'll make it to the Ogden one.

AHHHH! What a Day! March 7,08

We decided to go the the D.C. temple today, but we didn't leave until 12:30 in the afternoon and what a mistake that was! It took us 3 and a half hours to get up there and we are just now getting back and it's 11:00 p.m. That's a 10 and a half hour trip. The kids did pretty well, just a few moments of panic really they did better than me. I HATE traffic, after so long I just wanted to jump out. But the temple was nice and peaceful. I don't think we will do this trip again though, next time we are leaving earlier, leaving our kids, and going to Raliegh NC instead. Anyway enough ranting but it was a long long long long day. Take advantage of a temple when it's so close.

I have come up with a way to rate my day to see if I did everything I wanted to do. I start with my catagories
self
kids
husband
exercise\food
spiritual
house
service
Then I give myself a rating from -5 to 5 in each. -5 is not only do nothing, but something bad and 5 is spent all day doing something. I give myself a 0 for doing average and count my self lucky if I get over 1. My goal is to try to get myself to balance these things among others. I think a great day would be to have all 1 and 2's because you couldn't ever get all 5's atleast not me. So far today goes, self 1, kid 2, husband 0, exercise 3-, spiritual -3, house, -1, service, -1. But there is still time in the day to finish these!!!
I think you should send me a post and rate your day.

We're givin it a Try!

Well we are going to give it a try, thanks to a few friends and family encouragement.
We have had a wonderful Monday. We got to see our friends new baby and we went running. Cara and Shalee are trying to talk me into flying home to run a marathon, but tickets are too much money, but it would be fun to train and run. We are so excited not to have sick kids anymore. It really stinks to be stuck in the house for a week with sick kids. We have been having unseasonably warm weather and it's awesome.
